I have a strong desire to provide top quality health care to complement your existing treatments, with the ultimate aim to maximize your health. I have been a member of the Complementary Therapists Association (CThA) since 2002, whose aim is to provide fully trained and insured therapists to treat you to the highest standards and to their strict Code of Ethics.
I specialise in natural and mainly organic treatments to help you look and feel your best, naturally. I use individual or combination treatments tailored to your physical and mental health issues to support your needs.
If you are not sure which treatment is best for you, contact me for a no obligation chat.
I grew up in a warm and nurturing family who believe in the power of touch. My mum would rub our heads, necks and tummies to relieve headaches and sore stomachs of us children. And it was she who first took me to a health food shop back in the 1970s! And Mum who started organic gardening before I did. And when my daughter was first born, she bought organic skincare for her. I have continued this belief using reiki healing and organic food and skin care on my daughter since she was tiny.
My main interests include food to support health, walking, foraging, natural and organic food and skin-care, family, travelling, natural smells and aromatherapy. My love of reiki has also kindled an interest in Japanese food, culture and spiritualism.
I have been running my York-based natural health business since 2002. I have worked with many individuals to improve their health and have experience with many conditions including muscle tension, stress, headaches, sleeping problems, insomnia, bereavement, neck and shoulder stiffness, IBS, constipation, anxiety, joint pain and many others.
I have experience both as a mother and as a therapist of severe learning disability, physical disabilities, deafness and hearing loss and non-verbal communication. I can use Makaton sign language. I regularly treat wheelchair-users in their own homes or sheltered housing both in their chairs or on their bed.
I aim to be flexible and regularly work for couples or groups of ladies who want treatments, while staying at holiday cottages or forest lodges near Strensall, York.
I have also worked for various groups providing treatments, talks and taster sessions.
